Is it time to give up?

Long story short I have been dating the same guy on and off for 6 years we have had our up abd downs and have always been there forceac other the past 3 months we startedcto get closer again but never made anything official again and I know better to wait around, but I am close to his friends and he doenst like that so he accse me of sleeping with them and sine than hasn't spoke to me on a few weeks... The kicker my roommate (my best friend) is dating his bestfriebd so I'm consantly reminded of him, I would like to know I'd it would be out of lie to try one more time and just let him know I how feel before I move on ( he claims I don'tdo what he ask of me to show that I care but it's hard for me to give anything when not sure I'll be getting anything in return)
