Private university and services not rendered?

I am a nursing student. When I paid this semesters tuition (private school) it was for an 8 hour course one day a week. After I paid and got my schedule they changed the cl to a 7 hour cl and made the other 1 credit hour a separate cl. My issue is I am failing and if they didn't take that one hour credit portion away and make it a separate cl on a different day I would be ping. Is there any legality with that? I mean I paid for something and services where not rendered in the way in which I paid for them. The teachers say they can do it because in their syllabus it says a teacher can change the syllabus to their discretion. I understand that but we don't get the syllabus till after we start the cl and I don't see how the syllabus has anything to do with changing the whole course. Please help me, I need some lee way to take to the Dean. What do I do and can they do that?
