How do I add glitter to cabinets?

Paint the cabinets and while the paint is still wet sprinkle the cabinets with glitter. After it dries cover the cabinets with a coat of clear varnish. I did this to my cell phone using glitter and clear nail polish to create my own cover. As long as you cover the glitter with some type of varnish it won't flake off. My phone glitter never came off and it was in and out of my purse, etc.
