What caused my jasmine to die?

I had three confederate jasmine vines planted about ten feet apart that climbed up columns to reach my porch. The plants are seven years and until last year were very healthy. Two of them suddenly died last year and now the other one is dying. What would cause this to seemingly healthy jasmine?
